In a gut-wrenching moment that silenced Eagles fans everywhere, Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson was forced to limp off the field in the first quarter of Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers after a gruesome lower-leg collision with safety Evan Williams.

The injury occurred at the 8:42 mark of the first quarter during a 12-yard completion to A.J. Brown. As Jalen Hurts released the ball, Williams dove low to make the tackle and rolled directly into Johnson’s planted left leg. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound veteran immediately crumpled to the turf, clutching his knee and ankle area in visible agony.
Medical staff rushed to Johnson’s side, and after several tense minutes, the 35-year-old was helped to the blue medical tent. He was later carted to the locker room and quickly ruled OUT for the remainder of the game with what the team is calling a left knee/ankle injury. No official word on severity yet, but sources tell us the Eagles fear a high-ankle sprain at minimum, with possible MCL involvement.
Live Game Update (as of 9:28 AM +07, November 11, 2025 – 7:28 PM CST):
- Score: Packers 17 – Eagles 10 (Late 2nd Quarter)
- Jordan Love just connected with Jayden Reed for a 38-yard TD to extend Green Bay’s lead.
- Jalen Hurts is under heavy pressure without Johnson; rookie backup Jack Nelson has already allowed two sacks and three hurries.
- Saquon Barkley has 68 rushing yards but the offense has stalled twice in the red zone.
Social media is exploding:
- “Lane Johnson is the glue of that O-line. Season might be cooked without him.” – @EaglesNation
- “That hit looked nasty. Praying it’s not season-ending.” – @PhillySportsTalk
The Eagles (8-1) entered Week 10 with the NFC’s best record, but now face a brutal stretch: Cowboys, Commanders, Ravens, and Rams in the next four weeks. Losing Johnson—even for a month—could derail their Super Bowl aspirations.
Next update expected at halftime. Stay tuned—this one hurts more than the scoreboard.
