The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to stay atop the always competitive AFC North. Unfortunately, things as of late have not gone according to plan. Although the Steelers entered Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at 5-4 and in first place in the division, they entered the game 1-3 in their last four games.
Unfortunately, keeping their divisional lead may be a lot harder, as their four-time MVP-winning quarterback suffered a brutal injury to his non-throwing hand in the first half against Cincinnati.
After halftime, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that backup quarterback Mason Rudolph would have to make sure that he’s ready to go. Rudolphi did, in fact, take the first snaps of the second half.
“Steelers QB Mason Rudolph now has replaced Aaron Rodgers, whom the Steelers say ‘has a left hand injury and is questionable to return to today’s game,’” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“You need at least one Mason Rudolph appearance every 2-3 years to remind you how much you miss Ben Roethlisberger,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“MASON TIME AGAIN,” another fan added.
“Hoping Rudolph can keep things steady for the Steelers today,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Steelers look if Rodgers is forced to miss significant time.
