Buccaneers Fan Arrested Before Bills Game After Armed Threat Outside Highmark Stadium… SOSAD

Orchard Park, NY — November 16, 2025
At approximately 9:45 a.m., just over three hours before kickoff between the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium, a Buccaneers fan was arrested after allegedly making armed threats toward Bills supporters in a tailgate area.

According to the Orchard Park Police Department, the suspect has been identified as Daniel Royce Carter, 29, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Carter is now facing multiple charges, including menacing with a weapon

second-degree assaultcriminal possession of a firearm, and disorderly conduct.

The incident occurred in Parking Lot 3, where Bills Mafia had already begun early tailgating. Witnesses say Carter, wearing a Mike Evans No. 13 jersey, became engaged in a heated confrontation with a group of Bills fans before allegedly pulling out a handgun and issuing direct threats.

Stadium security reacted immediately, subduing the suspect within seconds before police arrived. Officers recovered a Smith & Wesson M&P9 pistol loaded with a full magazine, along with an additional spare magazine found inside Carter’s vehicle.

No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

Police temporarily locked down sections of the parking lot as investigators reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed multiple witnesses. The area was cleared and reopened around 10:30 a.m.

An Orchard Park Police spokesperson issued a statement:

“The quick response from stadium security and our officers prevented a potentially dangerous situation from escalating. Their coordination ensured the safety of everyone attending today’s game.”

Following the incident, Highmark Stadium increased security protocols, including enhanced bag checks, expanded metal detector sweeps, and additional patrol units ahead of kickoff.

Despite the alarming pregame event, the Bills vs. Buccaneers

matchup remains scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM ET, though the arrest has added a somber tone to what was expected to be a spirited game-day atmosphere.
