The Buffalo Bills can’t seem to escape the injury bug. Just six weeks into the season, their offense — once one of the league’s most dynamic — has been reduced to patchwork. Against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, another key weapon went down, leaving fans inside Highmark Stadium holding their breath.

It happened midway through the second quarter. After a routine play near the sideline, trainers suddenly sprinted onto the field as the crowd went silent. The energy shifted instantly — another painful moment in what’s becoming a season defined by resilience and frustration.

That fallen player was wide receiver Joshua Palmer, who twisted his right leg awkwardly while being tackled on a 15-yard reception. The scene looked grim at first; Palmer grimaced in pain as teammates gathered around. Moments later, he limped off the field and disappeared into the medical tent for evaluation.

After several tense minutes, Palmer returned to the sideline and began jogging lightly with trainers, drawing loud applause from relieved fans. The Bills later listed him as “questionable to return”, and though he stayed in uniform, he didn’t re-enter the game.

Before the injury, Palmer had given Buffalo’s offense a spark — two receptions for 60 yards, including a 45-yard bomb from Josh Allen that helped open the scoring drive. His growing chemistry with Allen had been one of the few bright spots amid a rash of offensive injuries that already sidelined
