The San Francisco 49ers have been hit with another wave of injuries as center Jake Brendel and edge rusher Bryce Huff are both set to

miss several weeks due to hamstring issues, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Tuesday.

Brendel’s injury comes as a major setback to the 49ers’ offensive line, which has relied heavily on his consistency and communication in the middle. Meanwhile, Huff — one of the team’s most explosive pass rushers — suffered his own hamstring strain during Sunday’s matchup and will also be sidelined for multiple games.

Shanahan told reporters both players will be evaluated week-to-week but are “not expected back soon.”

The 49ers are now preparing contingency plans heading into Week 8, likely turning to Jon Feliciano

at center and Drake Jackson or Robert Beal Jr. to step up in Huff’s absence.
