🚨BREAKING: Pittsburgh Steelers Release QB From Team After Thursday’s Loss👇 SOSAD

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a heartbreaker last Thursday, falling to their AFC North division rival Cincinnati Bengals, 33-31. As the Steelers pick up the pieces from their latest loss, which dropped them to 4-2, now it’s time to focus on their next matchup, against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.

Yet, before the Steelers take the field in Week 8, they’re making some changes to the roster.

Specifically, the Steelers have terminated the contract of practice squad quarterback Logan Woodside.

Some believe Woodside’s departure is a sign that the Steelers are preparing to activate Skylar Thompson or Will Howard off of injured reserve in the near future.

Woodside, a 2018 seventh-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals, has bounced around to four different teams, plus one in the now defunct AAF. He’s now 30 years old, but has never attempted a pass. He does however have 14 rushing attempts for 10 yards.

Yet, now Woodside will have to seek a chance to join other teams for his next opportunity in football. It could even be back with Pittsburgh.

Now without Woodside on the practice squad, the Steelers move forward with Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback and Mason Rudolph as the backup. Though, as others have hinted at, chances are Thompson or Howard are ready to return to action.

Howard, 24, was the team’s sixth-round pick back in April. Meanwhile, Thompson, 28, was a 2022 seventh-round pick by the Miami Dolphins.
