In a gesture thatâs winning hearts across Chiefs Kingdom, team owners Clark vĂ Tavia Hunt have stepped in after two Kansas City fans were unfairly ejected from Arrowhead Stadium â turning a viral controversy into a story of redemption and pride.
The incident occurred during the Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions, where the Chiefs secured a 30â17 victory. Two loyal fans â a man and a woman â were asked to leave their seats for what stadium officials described as âexcessive standingâ and âdisrupting the enjoyment of others.â
The video, posted on TikTok by @mattchewt785, quickly went viral, showing the stunned fans calmly questioning why cheering for their team was considered a violation. Within hours, thousands of Chiefs supporters flooded social media in outrage, demanding justice and tagging
@Chiefs and @NFL with the hashtag #LetThemStand.

On Wednesday morning, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt personally reached out through the teamâs fan relations department, offering the couple free season tickets for the remainder of the 2025 campaign, along with an invitation to attend next weekâs Monday Night Football game vs. the Commanders as honored guests of the organization.
In a heartfelt statement shared by the team, Hunt said:
âAt Arrowhead, we pride ourselves on having the loudest, most passionate fans in football. Cheering for your team â standing, shouting, celebrating â thatâs what makes this place special. No one should ever feel punished for showing love to the Chiefs.â
The gesture has been met with overwhelming praise from fans, with many calling it âa class actâ and a reminder of why Kansas City remains one of the most united fan bases in the NFL.
The two ejected fans, who asked to remain unnamed, told local reporters they were âshocked and gratefulâ for the teamâs response and plan to return to Arrowhead âlouder than ever.â
As one fan commented under the viral video:
âThis is why weâre more than a fanbase â weâre a family. The Hunts didnât just give back tickets. They gave back pride.â
In a league often criticized for detachment from its supporters, the Chiefsâ swift and personal response once again proves why Arrowhead isnât just a stadium â itâs home.
