The wave of rumors at Arrowhead is shaking the entire Chiefs Kingdom. After information emerged that the Kansas City Chiefs are considering trading Isiah Pacheco to the Washington Commanders for a 5th-round pick in 2026, the atmosphere in the locker room has become heavy. According to close sources, right after learning he was on the list of potential trades, Pacheco proactively met with the Chiefs’ leadership, expressing his desire to stay with the team at any cost, even willing to accept a pay cut.

Pacheco, once a symbol of fiery fighting spirit, is still struggling with an MCL injury and could return after the bye week in Week 11. Despite a slight drop in performance compared to last season, he remains a symbol of will and loyalty in the eyes of Chiefs fans.
The team leadership later issued a brief but meaningful response that left the entire Chiefs Nation silent: “We appreciate every contribution from Isiah – both on the field and in the locker room. Decisions about the future will be made based on the best interests of both the team and himself.”
