Four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers seems to have turned back the clock this season in his first year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers and the Steelers are in first place in the AFC North, and as things stand, are in a great position to win the division title, as the other three teams in the division all have losing records.
On Sunday, Rodgers and the Steelers will face the Green Bay Packers, the franchise he played for when he won each of his four MVPs. While Rodgers stated previously that he expects this to end his career after this season, the nostalgia of facing his old team seems to have led to a change of heart all of a sudden, as Rodgers has announced that he would like to retire with the Packers.
“Regardless of when I hang it up, that’s the bulk of my career. I’ll retire a Packer and see what happens after that,” Rodgers said, via Next Impulse Sports.
Fans reacted to Rodgers’ statement on social media.
“Does he plan on dying on the field this Sunday?” one fan wrote on Twitter.

It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers ever suits up for Green Bay again or if his retirement with the franchise is purely ceremonial.
