🚨 BREAKING NEWS: JAGUARS DELIVER MAJOR INJURY UPDATE AS TRAVON WALKER RULED OUT OF PRACTICE BEFORE CRUCIAL WEEK 13 SHOWDOWN AGAINST THE TITANS

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Week 13 preparing for one of the most pivotal stretches of their 2025 season — and Wednesday’s injury report delivered both long-awaited reinforcements and a troubling new setback. Ahead of their must-win AFC South battle against the Tennessee Titans, the Jaguars released an injury update that stunned fans across Duval County, headlined by one discouraging development: TRAVON WALKER DID NOT PRACTICE and is now in danger of missing Sunday’s divisional showdown.

The day began with optimism. Early Wednesday morning, Jacksonville officially opened safety Eric Murray’s 21-day return-to-play window, allowing the veteran defender to practice for the first time in weeks. Murray participated on a limited basis, giving the Jaguars a much-needed boost as their secondary navigates one of the most physically demanding stretches of the season.

Head coach Liam Coen addressed reporters before practice, acknowledging Murray’s progress but also cautioning that the staff would not rush the veteran back onto the field.

“I don’t know yet if Eric will be available this week,” Coen said. “We’re going to evaluate him day by day.”

But the optimism evaporated quickly as the full injury report was released.

Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle), linebacker Yasir Abdullah (finger), cornerback Jarrian Jones (quad), and Murray (neck) were all listed as limited participants. That was the good news.

Then came the list of players who did not practice — and at the top of that list was the name nobody in Jacksonville wanted to see:

Travon Walker — Knee — DNP

He was joined by offensive lineman Chuma Edoga (calf), edge rusher Danny Striggow, and guard Patrick Mekari (concussion), but Walker’s status stood out above the rest. The Jaguars’ former No. 1 overall pick and one of the defense’s most impactful players has now missed multiple practices, raising serious concerns about his availability for Sunday.

While Walker has not been placed on Injured Reserve — a small sign that the team does not view the injury as long-term — his extended absence from practice is alarming for a franchise preparing for a high-stakes divisional battle.

There was, however, one important positive development: right tackle Anton Harrison returned without limitations, a major boost for an offensive unit that has quietly begun to find rhythm.

How Jacksonville Jaguars unlocked Travon Walker

Cornerback Jourdan Lewis also practiced without restrictions, giving Jacksonville additional flexibility at a position that has been hit hard by injuries. Tight end Hunter Long returned fully as well after missing the past two games.

If Mekari cannot play against Tennessee, offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen is expected to step in at right guard.

Still, all conversations around Wednesday’s update centered on Walker.

Team insiders believe the Jaguars won’t rush Walker back into action — especially with the team entering what could be the defining stretch of its season. Jacksonville sits at 7–4, just one game behind the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South standings. A win over Tennessee would solidify their hold on a playoff position and set up a dramatic December push.

But doing so without Walker — and potentially without Striggow — would place enormous pressure on the defensive front. If both players are unavailable, rookies B.J. Green II, along with veterans Dawuane Smoot and Emmanuel Ogbah, are expected to see increased snaps.

For now, the Jaguars remain hopeful that Walker’s absence is precautionary rather than indicative of a severe setback. But the clock is ticking, and Sunday’s matchup grows more critical by the hour.

With the AFC playoff picture tightening and the Titans hungry to play spoiler, Jacksonville may be forced to enter one of its most important games of the season without one of its most important players.

The next 48 hours will determine everything — for Walker, for the Jaguars, and for the AFC South race.
