Stefon Diggs #8 of the New England Patriots runs onto the field during the NFL 2025 game against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome on October 12, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

It’s Week 7 in the NFL, which means that for teams around the league, injury concerns are most certainly coming into focus. Count the Patriots, who have managed to stay relatively healthy this season, among them.

But the practice report from Wednesday noted that pass-rushers Harold Landry and Anfernee Jennings both sat out with ankle injuries while safety Jaylinn Hawkins was out with a hamstring issue. No one has been ruled out for Sunday’s game in Tennessee, but both Jennings and Hawkins missed Week 6’s game in New Orleans.

Some veteran players were down as limited for Wednesday’s practice, including defensive lineman Christian Barmore and right tackle Morgan Moses. Also on that list was star receiver Stefon Diggs, who current leads the team with 32 catches and 387 yards receiving.

Diggs entered the season as an injury concern, coming back from tearing his ACL in October of 2024. But his knee has shown no signs of wear and tear–his listed injury on Wednesday was his chest.

Stefon Diggs Praised Patriots Mindset

After practice, though, Diggs gave no indication he would not play on Sunday. At age 32, perhaps the team simply decided to go a bit easy on him, especially with the third straight road game looming on Sunday.

He commented on the mindset of practice on Wednesday. “I feel like we came in with the right mindset today, trying to get back on track,” he said.

Diggs spoke about playing on the road and sounded like he expects to be part of the fun on Sunday.

“It’s hard to go on the road, it’s hard to win on the road,” Diggs said. “It’s hard to get wins in general. We’ve been on the road consecutively for some weeks now and I feel like we are getting accustomed to it–looking forward to playing what’s in front of us.”

Stefon Diggs: ‘Don’t Drink the Kool Aid’

Diggs also weighed in on the Patriots’ status as the leaders of the AFC East, and the fact that they’re now shaping up to be the darlings of the conference with three straight wins behind them. Diggs has no patience for midseason self-congratulations.

“Hell no. The biggest thing is, don’t drink the Kool Aid,” Diggs said. “People are going to say a lot of things about you but it’s the second quarter of the season. You break it up into quarters. And don’t buy into that, I feel like you can distracted by how good they say you are.

“And you can be doing different things or not committed to the process how you were before, so I don’t think–this is not that kind of team, we’re not that kind of team.”

Patriots ‘Not Trying to Win One for the Gipper’

Diggs was echoing the outlook of head coach Mike Vrabel, who is taking his team to Tennessee to play the very same team that fired him two years ago in a surprising move. Vrabel has done his best to downplay both the Patriots’ winning streak and the notion of getting revenge in Nashville.

“Yeah, we’re not trying to win one for the Gipper here. We’re just trying to make sure that these guys are focused on improving, and I think that they are. I think they’re locked in. And hopefully we can get them as prepared as we possibly can between now and Sunday,” he said.

The U.S. Supreme Court has quietly announced a sealed ruling that has rocked Washington — and directly impacted Trump’s legal chamber. Trump is terrified.1Washington has been pulled tight like a drawn wire as leaked details of a secret Supreme Court decision suddenly spill into public view. There was no press conference. No official statement. Just a silent move powerful enough to shake the entire political system. According to what has been revealed, the Supreme Court issued a sealed subpoena aimed directly at Donald Trump. More importantly, the ruling came with a hard deadline. Seventy-two hours to comply. No extensions. No delays. The requested materials are believed to involve financial transactions, relationships with foreign individuals, and sensitive election-related information. Legal sources say this is not an ordinary case, but the result of a grand jury investigation that has been unfolding quietly for more than a year. The Supreme Court used rare authority to keep the entire process in the dark, signaling a level of seriousness tied to national security concerns. Trump is reported to have attempted to rely on presidential immunity and executive privilege, but those arguments were dismissed without fanfare. Once the case reached the Supreme Court, every delay tactic came to an abrupt end. This ruling leaves no legal escape hatch. The Court made one thing unmistakably clear. No individual, including a former president, stands above the law. The 72-hour deadline immediately threw Trump’s legal team into chaos. Some attorneys are reportedly considering withdrawal, fearing the legal consequences of continued resistance. Trump responded by attacking the justices and questioning the legitimacy of the ruling. Legal experts warn that such statements could expose him to contempt of court charges. For the first time in modern history, the possibility of a former president being detained before trial no longer feels unthinkable. Legal scholars have begun comparing the moment to the historic United States v. Nixon case. Public opinion is starting to shift, even among Republican voters, as the belief that “no one is above the law” gains traction. Trump now faces only two paths. Comply. Or confront the Supreme Court head-on. Both roads carry consequences that could permanently alter America’s political and legal landscape. The question hanging over everything is simple — and explosive. Will Donald Trump submit to the rule of law, or push the system toward an unprecedented constitutional crisis?
