49ers’ Two-Time Pro Bowl RB Honored as NFC Offensive Player of the Week After 20-10 Victory Over Atlanta Falcons, But His Actions Leave Loyal 49ers Fans in Awe

San Francisco, CA – It’s no surprise that Christian McCaffrey, the versatile star running back of the San Francisco 49ers, continues to prove why he is the heart of the NFC’s most potent offense. Following a commanding 20-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, McCaffrey was officially named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week by the NFL.

In this game, McCaffrey performed like a whirlwind. He scored 2 touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving), amassing a total of 164 offensive yards. Not only was he the most effective player on the field, but McCaffrey also serves as the heartbeat of the offensive system crafted by head coach Kyle Shanahan – a player capable of breaking away on outside runs while being a lethal weapon in play-action passes and receptions in the middle of the field.

This marks the second time this season McCaffrey has earned the “NFC Offensive Player of the Week” award, and the fifth time in his career he has received this honor. With two Pro Bowl appearances and a leading position in the 2025 MVP race, McCaffrey is showcasing peak performance since joining San Francisco.

After practice, McCaffrey shared humbly yet with determination:

“I don’t care about individual awards as much as team victories. The Falcons are a tough opponent, but we proved the 49ers’ spirit – resilient and disciplined. If I can contribute to the team’s win, that’s the greatest reward.”

He also gave credit to his teammates:

“It all starts with the offensive line. They pave the way, they fight for every yard. This success belongs to the whole team, not just me.”

With his current form, McCaffrey leads the NFC in total offensive yards and scoring, solidifying his status as the league’s most complete offensive player.
If he maintains this level of performance, the 2025 MVP award may well bear his name – a symbol of relentless endurance, intelligence, and unwavering dedication in the red and gold of the 49ers.
