Buffalo, New York – The Bills Mafia erupted tonight after head coach Sean McDermott openly expressed his frustration and anger over a highly controversial roster move by GM Brandon Beane
. During a live broadcast, McDermott couldn’t hide his disappointment as the Bills lost cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram on waivers, all to make room for a risky swing: claiming veteran CB Darius Slay.

Making matters worse — Slay is now refusing to play for Buffalo, leaving the team in a position where they “lost a real player and got nothing back.”
McDermott spoke with visible frustration:
“We spent three years developing Ingram from an undrafted free agent, turning him into an important part of our depth… and now we lose him for absolutely nothing.”
According to internal sources, McDermott was
not on board with Beane’s decision, believing that sacrificing a young, ascending player for a veteran who isn’t committed to playing is “against everything we stand for in terms of development.”
Meanwhile, Bills fans flooded social media in outrage, with some going as far as calling Slay’s stance:
“PATHETIC FROM DARIUS SLAY.”
McDermott also revealed the reasoning Beane gave when deciding to claim Slay: Beane “wanted to immediately add experience and leadership to the secondary ahead of a potential playoff push.”
But McDermott believes the move backfired from day one, and now Buffalo is stuck dealing with the fallout.
The situation continues to escalate as Slay maintains his refusal to suit up for the Bills, while Ingram has officially joined another team — leaving Buffalo with a glaring hole that McDermott insists
“was completely avoidable.”
