Notably, it was Chris Jones himself who first called for the team to re-sign Pennel on social media X (Twitter). The video he posted with the caption “Bring my guy home” quickly went viral and received thousands of shares from Chiefs fans.
In an interview, Mike Pennel could not hide his excitement:
