Josh Allen and Cam Heyward clashed throughout the Buffalo Bills’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the defensive star took issue with the quarterback’s conduct following a tackle

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive star Cam Heyward accused Josh Allen of kneeing him in the stomach during the loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills got back to winning ways following a surprise loss to the Houston Texans last week. On Sunday, Allen and the Bills faced the Steelers in a fiery and physical showdown that left Aaron Rodgers bloodied.
Buffalo endured a slow start but secured a 26-7 win over Pittsburgh, with Allen completing 15 of 23 passes for 123 yards along with a touchdown, an interception, and a rushing score. James Cook tallied 144 yards on 32 carries, and the running back was also Buffalo’s leading receiver with 33 receiving yards.
Josh Allen answers question about ‘Pitch Perfect 4’ speculation
Speaking after the game, Allen claimed his clashes with Heyward spurred him on to elevate his game and deliver. The 36-year-old was heated after tackling Allen in the first half, and he had to be separated from the quarterback after the two got to their feet.
The duo continued to exchange words throughout the game, and Heyward was eventually flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct in the second half. He shed some light on what sparked the altercation in the postgame locker room when asked if he could talk about his “frustration” with Allen.
“Being kneed in my stomach?” the Steelers star started. “And then just jawing back and forth, taking off the entire game because as a quarterback, they’re protected, but I’m not. Just p—– me off.”
Pressed to clarify if he’s saying Allen kneed him in the stomach, Hayward snapped: “Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying.”
Heyward then confirmed it was intentional, adding: “He even said after, ‘I had to do something to get you off of me.’”
The alleged knee incident appeared to have taken place in the second quarter. Heyward landed on top of Allen after tackling him, and there were too many bodies around the pair for CBS cameras to see what unfolded between them.
However, Allen was on his back as Heyward landed on top of him and certainly could have used his knee. The veteran was furious after the play, confronting Allen as the pair exchanged words even after a game official pulled away Heyward.
Heyward refused to calm down in the second half. After Allen threw a touchdown pass to Keon Coleman, Heyward bumped his face mask into Allen’s, and the two continued to exchange words.
Heyward then shoved David Edwards away when the Bills guard intervened, which drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Asked about clashing with Heyward and if that is what helped him raise his game, Allen said: “Maybe a little bit. I love the competitiveness out of this game. He’s such a great player. Sometimes you need fire like that to get you going.”
